ELEMENTARY BAND!

Dear Elementary Band Families:

 The band is working hard preparing the music for the Spring concert performance.  For many of the students it will be their first formal band concert, and I think it will be very entertaining!

 Thank you, parents, for helping your children to remember which day band is on and for signing their weekly practice records. 

 Our Spring concert is on Thursday, May 15th and it starts at 7:00 pm.  The concert will include the combined Bands of Shrewsbury, Southern and Friendship.  We will have four combined rehearsals to prepare for the concert.  The dates and times for these rehearsals are as follows:

Wednesday, May 7^th  3:00-5:00pm  Parent pick-up at SHS

Thursday, May 8^th  3:00-5:00pm  Parent pick-up at SHS

Friday, May 9^th  (afternoon rehearsal)

Monday, May 12^th  (morning rehearsal)

Wednesday, May 14^th (morning performance for students)

Thursday, May 15^th   Evening Spring Concert:

6:15 pm students report to the High School Band room for roll call, preliminary exercises and tuning.  Concert begins at 7:00.

 We ask that all students be picked up promptly at 5:00 on the 7th and 8th.  Students will need to remember to bring their instruments and music on these combined rehearsal days as well as for the concert. 

 Concert dress for girls is white shirt or blouse and long black skirt or dress pants with black hose and black shoes.  For boys, white dress shirt and tie, black dress pants, black socks and black shoes.  Basically, dress clothes in basic black and white is all we need.  Please feel free to email me if you have any questions regarding the concert.  Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you all on May 15^th .
